Oops, no, Bush wants to be the only tree left standing. Can't have people buying vehicles that get 60 mpg when you can encourage them to buy ones that get 10 mpg -- after all, if we used less oil we might have less reason to bomb Iraq, less terrorism to give us excuses to curtail civil liberties, and less environmental devastation to keep poor people sick from smog and pollution.
