2004-02-16 - BushCo spying and censorship
News items to check out:

It seems that the anti-terrorist division of our government is spending its time (and our tax dollars) doing web searches on people who disagree with their politics and have the audacity to say so on t-shirts. Progressive clothing = potential terrorist? Never mind that we're three pacifists running our business out of an apartment - because we don't like Bush, we might be a threat to national security. We're interested to see what happens the next time one of us tries to get on a plane!

Now, doesn't that just make you feel more secure?

Then we learn from Lean Left and The Palm Beach Post that BushCo feels that people with hearing impairments need a careful eye kept on what TV they can watch. So the U.S. Department of Education is declaring about 200 television programs inappropriate for closed-captioning and denying federal grant requests to make them accessible to the hearing-impaired. Programs thus censored include Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, Law & Order, Roy RogersRobin Hood, and The Simpsons.

Well, I can see why those last two are sending a political message BushCo isn't going to like...!
